Blessed Lunar New Year

I like Chinese New Year. Besides being able to meet friends or relatives whom we do not meet regularly, it also provides an excuse to buy new clothes. Heehee. Here is our cliched mother-and-daughter outfit.

We managed to complete most of our visitations by Day One, so I brought the kids to USS on Day Two, leaving Lyn at home to prepare his sermon for Ash Wednesday.

Finally, the day ended with a palatable dinner at the home of Lyn's aunt. The kids enjoyed themselves running amok in the house, while the adults watched with trepidation.

I read the CNY post I wrote last year and was reminded that I had wanted to try making bak kwa again since my tom yum bak kwa last year turned out dry. Somehow, I was quite exhausted this year and only managed to churn out some pineapple tarts. I pray for renewed strength!

I am thankful for the short breather from work and pray that God will enable me to teach my four hours of classes effectively tomorrow.

Blessed lunar new year to you. :)
