Busy Bags

I first heard about Busy Bags from this post. Busy bags contain easy-to-bring-around materials which can keep children occupied during periods of waiting (e.g. at a restaurant). I was intrigued by the myriad of ideas and decided to prepare a few bags for An.

Coloured Pegs

Felt Garden

Dot Patterns

Number Tracing with Animals

In our case, a busy book accompanies the busy bags. For instance, the brown felt background for the Felt Garden is pasted on our busy book. The rabbit, flowers, pond and grass are placed in a ziplock bag. The dots are pasted on the book and the numbers are written on the book too.

The dots and the numbers need hardly any preparation but are rather effective time fillers. Hope you'll enjoy preparing and using your own busy bags too. :)
