We were all ready with our exercise gadgets one evening when it started to pour. Since we had already intended to go out, we did not let the rain deter us. We selected a venue with indoor options and that was to be Gardens by the Bay.
We had gone to the Flower Dome the day before the Dahlia Exhibition officially opened. It might be psychological, but it seemed like the dahlias were blooming more beautifully than when we first saw them. We could not resist taking more pictures at the conservatory.
What we all enjoyed most that evening was going on the OCBC Skyway. It was J's suggestion and I thought it was a great idea. We entered the Skyway at 8.45 p.m. and I was quite excited knowing that fireworks would be let off at the nearby River Hongbao at 9 p.m. Finally, we only caught a glimpse of the fireworks as the Skyway closed at 9 p.m. and the staff understandably hurried our walk on the bridge. We managed to enjoy the Garden Rhapsody (Chinese New Year edition) and the magnificent local night scene nonetheless and I was very pleased.
Here are some shots I took on the Skyway and love:
I also managed to capture shots of the supertrees before the sun set completely.
What a beautiful country we live in!
